About Naomi Richman

Naomi Richman has been a practicing psychotherapist and a homeopath in the Bay Area for over four decades. In addition to her private practice, she was a faculty member and supervisor at the Women’s Therapy Center in the East Bay for twenty-five years, and is still a supervisor and faculty member of The Psychotherapy Institute in Berkeley.

Many years ago she tried to make it as a poet, but after running out of unemployment and only making $73 from her poetry, decided to return to graduate school. Naomi holds a Master of Arts in Psychology and is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (M.F.T.) in California.

Naomi has also taught in various graduate programs in the Bay Area. When asked to state why she writes, she says “To think, to explore, to understand, to provoke, and with luck - to explain.”
